I am a trained and experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) serving the Triangle area of North Carolina. I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years and in a variety of behavioral health settings in both New Jersey and North Carolina. This includes providing therapeutic and consultation services to adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and workplace issues.
I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. My undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, was also earned from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Initially licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey, I have been a licensed counselor (LCMHC #7001) in the state of North Carolina since 2008.
My approach to the counseling process is based on honesty and collaboration. I believe that each person is unique and has their own experiences and expectations and I strive to work collaboratively in a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment to accomplish and address what it is that is important to each client.
I reside in Raleigh with my wife of 20 years, two active boys and our fur-friends, Benton and Lucy.
